The blade is made out of 26C3 carbon steel it was differentialy heat treated, etched and polished to bring out the hamon. The handle is stabilized maple burl with brass pins. It comes with a handmade leather sheath. The blade is very wide to help with knuckle clearance, chopping trough large pieces of food and to easely transport chopped food. It has a very thin grind and is easy to keep sharp.
